How JVDB prepares data
We connect players, teams and matches so their records can be followed over time.
Player identity
A stable ID connects a player's records even when their team or season changes.
Team history
Registrations are tracked by season. Players without a current registration are not shown as currently signed to a team.
Matches and appearances
A stable match ID connects scores, set scores, lineups and individual statistics.
Checking statistics
Attack, block, serve and reception totals are checked against source data and player records.
Updates and corrections
When official records, transfers or spellings change, we review and update connected records.
