2,019 points are gone. What happens to the SV men’s scoring race?
Across the first two SV men’s seasons, the player with the most attack attempts was also the player with the most points: Dmitriy Muserskiy.
Top 5 in attack attempts
1. Dmitriy Muserskiy — 3,132 2. Torey DeFalco — 2,830 3. Kento Miyaura — 2,617 4. Chang Yu-Sheng — 2,608 5. Felipe Roque — 2,560
Muserskiy alone cleared 3,000. Behind him the margins are tiny: Miyaura and Chang are separated by nine attempts, Chang and Roque by 48.
Top 5 in total points
1. Dmitriy Muserskiy — 2,019 2. Torey DeFalco — 1,676 3. Kento Miyaura — 1,580 4. Yuji Nishida — 1,532 5. Felipe Roque — 1,508
Muserskiy is the only player above 2,000, finishing 343 points ahead of DeFalco. He scored 1,075 in 2024-25 and 944 in 2025-26.
Does No. 2 simply become No. 1?
Muserskiy has retired and Roque has also left. DeFalco, Miyaura and Nishida remain, while Chang has moved from Voreas Hokkaido to Hokkaido Yellow Stars.
The two-season table favors DeFalco, but in 2025-26 alone Miyaura scored 770, Nishida 738 and DeFalco 700. The most recent season tells a different story from the two-year total.
The next No. 1 is still undecided
Will it be DeFalco, Miyaura or Nishida? Does Chang’s workload change after his move? Or does a newcomer jump straight into the leading group?
The data suggests this is not simply a case of promoting No. 2 to No. 1. In its third season, the SV men’s scoring race could take on a completely new shape.
